Halstrom’s Ronak Ahuja Beats Brentwood’s Ryan Younger in Loyola Finals

Congratulations to Halstrom’s Ronak Ahuja for winning the 2018 Loyola Invitational on a 2-1 decision (Gonzalez, Dille, Ditzian*) and Brentwood’s Ryan Younger for reaching finals! Ryan is a two-time SJDI top lab alumnus.

Congratulations to all SJDI alumni for their successes this weekend. 50% of debaters who reached quarters and 40% of speaker award recipients were SJDI alumni.

SJDI alumni Evelyn Lo (Trips), Lena Mizrahi, Ethan Elasky, Vincent Liu, David Si, Madeleine Conrad-Mogin (Dubs), Anurag Rao, Kabir Dubey (Octas), Viren Abhyankar, Beckett Larcher, and Kavin Kumaravel (Quarters) all reached elimination rounds and Kabir Dubey (10th), Asher Towner (9th), Viren Abhyankar (7th), and Tristan Shaughnessy (4th) received top 10 speaker awards.
