Santa Monica’s Rex Evans wins Harvard Westlake

Congratulations to Santa Monica’s Rex Evans for championing the 2019 Harvard Westlake Invitational. In finals, Rex defeated Greenhill’s Anna Myers on a 3-0 decision (Stidham, Pandey, Phillips). Rex is a Debate Intensive alum. Ronak Ahuja won top speaker.

Additional congratulations to Debate Intensive alumni for their achievements this weekend. A majority of debaters receiving bids attended the Debate Intensive. Rex Evans (Champion), Ryan Younger, Lena Mizrahi, Viren Abhyankar (Quarters), Karthik Krishnan, Vincent Liu, Kavin Kumaravel, Kabir Dubey, Asher Towner (Octas), Ethan Elasky, Madeleine Conrad-Mogin, and Linus Epstein (Dubs) reached elimination rounds. Alumni Lena Mizrahi, Rex Evans, Asher Towner, Ryan Younger, and Madeleine Conrad-Mogin won top 10 speaker awards.
